Our annual Christmas Child Shoebox Ministry is now underway as we start collecting items for shoeboxes. For the month of August, please bring school supplies, such as pens, crayons, markers, pencil sharpeners (we have lots of pencils from last year, so these are not needed), notebooks, paper, small zippered pencil bags, and solar powered calculators. There is a collection box in the Foyer. May the Lord bless you as you bless the children.

CCVS men, we will be carpooling over to join Calvary Chapel Sonora for its annual “Tent Days” again this year. Here’s the information:
What: Tent Days is an annual one-day Men's Retreat, where pastors from Sonora and surrounding areas come together and spend the day teaching through a book in the Bible. The day includes food, worship, teachings, and competitions, giant slingshot, sawmill, guns and ammo and more, plus a classic car show.
When: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 22

Kids from age 4 through sixth grade are invited to enter “The Incredible Race” during Calvary Chapel’s annual Vacation Bible School June 10-14. VBS activities will be held Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church, located at 150 California Street in downtown Valley Springs. There is no charge to register. Youngsters will enjoy crafts, group projects, games, drama and lots of fun while they discover that the human race is one family, one race, and has one Savior. Beginning May 15, parents may register online here. Or you can pick up a registration form in the church office at 150 California St. (across from the Marval Shopping Center). Keeping the families together for an evening and preparing for Resurrection Sunday, we will break bread and look at the night of Jesus’ last Passover meal as we meet together in the Chapel for a special Resurrection Week Special Wednesday Night Family Service.
Children’s Ministry Teacher Training in the Chapel from Noon-1:30 Sunday, April 14, for teachers in Nursery through 6th grade and anyone desiring to teach in our children’s ministry. The focus will be on safety. Chris Stout will school us in the new sign-in procedure and we will look at some important safety procedures. Lunch will be provided!
